The ceremony in parliament marked her coming of age, meaning she will now directly become queen after her father King Felipe VI, assuming he does not go on to have any male children. Those surveyed then gave Felipe VI an average score of 4.34 out of ten. Juan Carlos also did not attend Tuesday's ceremony. Juan Carlos has declined to comment on the various allegations of wrongdoing. LONDON, July 18 (Reuters) - Former Spanish king Juan Carlos on Tuesday asked a London court to throw out a 126 million pound ($165 million) lawsuit brought by his ex-lover, who accuses him of a campaign of harassment after she refused to return millions of euros to him. The 85-year-old ex-monarch is being sued by Corinna zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn, who alleges Juan Carlos orchestrated threats, surveillance and intimidation from 2012. Juan Carlos "emphatically denies ever having harassed" Sayn-Wittgenstein, the former monarch's lawyer Adam Wolanski told London's High Court on Tuesday. Wolanski said Sayn-Wittgenstein's lawsuit should be thrown out of court as she has no viable claim against Juan Carlos for harassment. However, Sayn-Wittgenstein's lawyers argue Juan Carlos is simply attempting to prevent the courts deciding her lawsuit, which was first brought in 2020 and has since been mired in disputes about whether Juan Carlos was entitled to immunity.

Once revered for his role in Spain's transition to democracy, he is now seen as a liability for his son, King Felipe. After eight minutes standing next to the bronze bear figure, Miranda removed his unauthorised statue - 170 cm (67 inches) tall and made of polyurethane and modelling clay covered with metallic paint resembling patina on bronze. The Bear and Strawberry Tree - the official symbols of Madrid - are photographed by thousands of tourists daily in the middle of the Puerta del Sol square. Miranda will have an exhibition in Madrid next month which will include images of the performance in Puerta del Sol. Turkey will instead operate the Anadolu with drones, using them to project power across the region. The US kicked Turkey out of the F-35 program in 2019, leaving Ankara without fighter jets for its new carrier. Strictly speaking, Anadolu is not a dedicated aircraft carrier but an amphibious assault ship — specifically a landing helicopter dock, or LHD. Turkey was a Level III partner in the US-led F-35 program, with Turkish companies making about 900 parts for the aircraft. Turkish carrier dronesTCG Anadolu in Istanbul in September 2022.
